Hard Drive Transfer Kit

If you need to move data from one Xbox 360 hard disk to another, then the Xbox 360 hard drive transfer kit is a useful accessory to have. While you could you a USB memory stick to do the work for you, the transfer kit can generally do the job is one go and save on time and effort. It is important to note that you will need a recent, or, the most recent update for the Xbox 360 system software. Older system software versions may not support the transfer kit - so, if you have not got access to Xbox Live, you may wish to use a USB memory stick instead. Using the transfer kit is simple; remove the hard disk from your old console and plug it into the transfer kit as shown below,

Then you will need to plug the transfer kit's cable into your new console, as shown below,

 Finally, an image of the transfer kit being plugged into the usb socket of the new 360 console, turn the console on and follow the instructions provided by the system software.

Then you need to switch on your new Xbox console. If you have the correct system software installed, a message should popup which will give you instructions on how to complete the transfer process.
